I want to build a prosperous, opportunity-filled, and sustainable future for the whole of the Borough of Ashford and the wider region.

Your interests and the interests of all the residents of Ashford Borough have to be at the heart of what Ashford Borough Council does, and the heart of the new Labour government. Through my work as a Borough Councillor, as the Deputy Leader of the Labour Group in Ashford Borough Council, and working closely with our new Labour MP the Hon. Sojan Joseph and others, I will continue to work to make sure they are.

I'm Kent born and bred. My parents, an engineer and a teacher, taught me to aspire to make things better and solve problems for myself and others. They also taught me to never give up, no matter the odds. When I was growing up, I was diagnosed with dyslexia, but this didn't hold me back it only made me more determined.

I'm a problem-solver by nature. As an IT consultant and senior project manager, I've worked in high-pressure and high-stakes environments, finding solutions through collaboration, creativity, and diplomacy. I know that the challenges we face can be overcome if we work together.

As a Councillor at Ashford Borough Council and as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group, I have worked across party and organisational boundaries to improve things for local residents. I proposed a Best of Kent market to revitalise the town centre, which is now being moved forward by a task group. I am also part of the Bring Back Euro Trains campaign, which aims to restore international rail services to Ashford and Ebbsfleet, connecting us to Europe and beyond, boosting opportunities and jobs.

These are just some of the examples of how I work to make Ashford, the constituency, and the wider region, a better place for everyone, through collaboration, creativity, and diplomacy.
